The purpose of the standard is to strictly restrict the import of solid waste and control the environmental pollution caused by the import of waste plastics that can be used as raw materials. The standard requires that imported waste plastics should not be mixed with radioactive waste, discarded bombs, shells and other explosive weapons and ammunition. It requires that the total weight of hazardous waste mixed with waste plastics should not exceed 0.01 percent of the weight of imported waste plastics, and the total weight of other inclusions mixed with waste plastics should not exceed 0.5 percent of the weight of imported waste plastics. The Inspection and Quarantine Bureau hereby reminds relevant companies that they should pay close attention to the latest standards for imported waste plastics. Waste plastics imported by companies that can be used as raw materials must be declared to the inspection and quarantine agency before entering the country, and the inspection and quarantine department must pass the inspection in accordance with the requirements of the national mandatory standards.
