The Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision recently announced the results of the special supervision and spot check on the quality of plastic sheets for food in Shanghai in 2017. A total of 12 batches of products were randomly selected. After inspection, 0 batches were unqualified.

According to the Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision, plastic sheets for food are listed in the food-related product production license catalog. There are 13 certified food plastic sheet manufacturers in Shanghai. This time, 13 are planned to be spot-checked. 9 have actually drawn products, while 4 have not drawn samples due to shutdown.

This supervision and spot check is based on national standards and relevant standards such as GB9681-1988 "Hygienic Standard for PVC Molded Products for Food Packaging", GB9688-1988 "Hygienic Standard for Polypropylene Molded Products for Food Packaging", GB9689-1988 "Hygienic Standard for Polystyrene Molded Products for Food Packaging", GB/T16719-2008 "Biaxially Stretched Polystyrene Sheet", QB/T2471-2000 "Polypropylene Extruded Sheet" and GB/T15267-1994 "Food Packaging Hard PVC Film, the following items of the product were tested: tensile strength, elongation at break, tensile yield strength, moisture permeability, sensory, evaporation residue, evaporation residue, evaporation residue, evaporation residue, potassium permanganate consumption, heavy metals, antimony, vinyl chloride monomer, decolorization test, decolorization test, decolorization test, etc.
